In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, Eric made the bold decision to bring his culinary vision to life. Despite the challenges, he opened the highly acclaimed Bread & Vine in Galena, Illinois, which quickly became a success. This venture during such uncertain times speaks volumes about Eric’s resilience and determination to share his culinary expertise and passion for food with the world.

Led by Eric, a culinary visionary with a storied career that spans prestigious establishments and international acclaim, Bread & Vine is a testament to innovation and culinary mastery. Eric’s journey from Parisian kitchens to managing acclaimed properties across the globe culminated in the creation of Bread & Vine, where his passion for food and commitment to excellence shine through in every dish.

From the renowned Bernardin and Alain Ducasse in New York City to managing properties in the Bahamas, Hawaii, Dominican Republic and China, Eric’s culinary prowess has left an indelible mark on the global gastronomy scene. Throughout his career, he has overseen multiple food concepts and hotels for the SBE Group, including the Delano, SLS, and the Raleigh in Miami. Additionally, he played a pivotal role with the Cipriani Group, managing their properties in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami.

A testament to his exceptional achievements in the culinary world, Eric was recently inducted into the prestigious Académie Culinaire de France, an esteemed honor in the gastronomy industry.

Bright and modern, our space invites guests to savor every moment as they indulge in our creations. Orange, white, and black hues adorn our ambiance, creating an atmosphere that stimulates the senses.

From 9 am to 8 pm, seven days a week, we provide nonstop service in a vibrant bistro-style setting. Our menu boasts a delightful array of sharable delights, ranging from French pastries to tacos, sandwiches, ramen, gyro to small plates, all expertly executed with a French accent. But what truly sets us apart is our extraordinary selection of macarons, with over 20 flavors to tantalize your taste buds.
